Pain Francais

Hi Everyone
Happy Monday
{Love}
French bread
I have been enjoying making
fresh homemade  bread with our new
Kitchen-aid stand mixer
 ~Shes a cutie~
Built to last forever and so easy to use
I have to admit I was a little intimidated at first  so I did what any inexperienced person would do
I watched the most hilarious You Tube videos on how to use your kitchen aid mixer
technology is wonderful
 Now that I am almost a pro at this
{notice how I was able to lift the top}
baby steps..
I am scouring all of my vintage cook books

 I have an eclectic collection

Do you have a  great bread recipe you could share with me?
I would be grateful
{Love}
to try your family favorite
I am thinking of making a romantic "pain francais" for my handsome valentine this year
romantic saying for today
"May your heart always find a way home to me"

  6. Aren't they the best mixers, I love mine too! Once I move into my new home, I am thinking about making french baquettes as a side business but have to experiment a little.

    Love your bread dish!

  9. I remember when you were contemplating getting one.Aren't you glad you bought it?I love mine.It is white too.And is 15 years old.I use it all the time and still works like a charm.I love making banana bread with it.I use different recipes for it all the time.But one hint I will give you.Make sure your banana's are really ripe.I mean black.The longer they sit the better they taste when making bread.And chocolate chips are yummy treat to add to it instead of nuts.

  10. I couldn't live without my kitchen aid! And they are great for making bread using the dough hook. My husband is the bread baker in the family and this recipe from Williams Sonoma always turns out perfectly--"Rosemary-Lemon no-knead Bread". I think they have a video on making it on their website. Enjoy!

  11. Do you love your new mixer? I have thought about getting one but it seems my hand mixer is still working fine. It's probably one of those things that once you get one you don't know how you lived without it. I have a patient (I am a dental hygienist) that has one she got in the early 70's! She said she uses it almost daily! And it still runs, she loves it.

  12. I just stumbled on your blog today via Pinterest. Gotta love Pinterest for finding new blogs ;) So, I was scrolling through and saw this post. I wanted to share a great bread recipe that I make with my Kitchen Aid mixer with you. I hadn't ever made bread until this summer and tried the "no knead" recipe and then this Amish White Bread recipe. It was so easy and delicious. I have made it several times now and we eat it plain or as a sandwich bread. I love homemade chicken salad and egg salad with it. I got the recipe from allrecipes.com. Here is the link to the recipe on my blog with a note for Kitchen Aid mixer users http://psalm34verse8.blogspot.com/2011/12/amish-white-bread.html and here is the link to allrecipes.com http://allrecipes.com/recipe/amish-white-bread/detail.aspx Hope you try it and like it! :)
