January in the garden

 Hi Everyone
Happy Monday
and
Happy New Year
~2012~
January is a busy time
 at
~White Ironstone Cottage~

Starting off the New Year in the garden
A wonderful time to be outside and prune the roses and the hydrangeas
 smell the crisp fresh air and  get a little exercise too
Pruning  now helps the plants bloom in the spring
The last of the white iceberg roses

Spotted a few new flowers by the front gate
Grateful the Camellias
are starting to bloom
{Love}
their bold and beautiful colors
The camellias always seem to find their way into our birdbath

 Pansies to put around the boxwood
to add a little more color
Put more pansies in the white pot by the front door too

Grateful there are
 a few colorful  flowers to bring inside the house
they always add a little beauty and romance !!
{Love}
to bring the outdoors inside

  3. How lucky you are to have flowers blooming in the winter!! It makes me look forward to spring and it is way too early for that! It was 21 degrees today! Brrrrr!

  4. Just found your blog and really enjoyed it. I especially liked your favorite book in your profile and the great quotes from Audrey Hepburn. I will definately be following your blog. It is a lot of pretty and we need more of that.

  8. With snow on the ground, it is hard to picture that someone has flowers growing. Your photos are gorgeous, thank you for sharing!

  9. Thanks for sharing your pansies, one of my favorite flowers. I planted nothing in the fall due to (un)successful shoulder surgery.
    Happy 2012

  10. So very pretty. I'm itching to get out in the yard and start sprucing it up, but need to wait until I'm sure there are no more freezes. Thank you for sharing. Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
